PC Brodie died when his police vehicle was involved in a collision with two other vehicles on the A76 Mennock Dumfriesshire. He was survived by his wife and two children.

PC Hughes died when his car was involved in a collision whilst travelling home from duty at Johnstone police office. He was survived by his wife.

PC Davey died after the police vehicle in which he was the passenger left the road and collided with trees near Elgin. He was survived by his wife and two daughters.

PC Igoe died when her police motorcycle lost control on a bend during training and was struck by an oncoming vehicle. She was survived by her husband.

PC Fulton died after attending to assist officers attempting to arrest a mentally ill male who had ceased taking his medication and had stabbed a police sergeant. Taking action to protect members of the public in a busy shopping area he was fatally stabbed during a violent struggle. PC Fulton was posthumously awarded the Queens Commendation for Bravery. He was survived by his wife and son.

PC Simpson died when his police vehicle was struck head-on by a vehicle travelling at high speed on the wrong carriageway of the M8 motorway in Glasgow. He was survived by his wife and daughter.
