Constable Thomas WHITE (57)
Police Scotland
PC White collapsed and died while walking home from duty.
Having completed over 29 years’ service he was a highly experienced officer and a valued and respected colleague. His whole career was spent in the Lothian & Borders area covering many roles including temporary sergeant.
He is survived by his two brothers.
Constable Roy BUGGINS (51)
Police Scotland
PC Buggins collapsed whilst on duty in Montrose and despite the efforts of members of the public and paramedics who responded he died shortly thereafter.
He was a very experienced officer who worked throughout the Tayside area, most latterly in community policing and was held in high regard by his colleagues and indeed the local community.
He was survived by his wife and two children.
Special Agent Nole Edward REMAGEN (42)
United States Secret Service
Special Agent Remagen suffered a medical emergency on July 15th, 2018, while on an executive protection detail for the National Security Advisor during a presidential visit to the Turnberry golf resort in Ayrshire.
Other agents immediately rendered first aid and he was attended to by a White House doctor before being transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. He passed away on July 17th, 2018.
Special Agent Remagen was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He had served with the United States Secret Service for 19 years and was assigned to the Presidential Protection Division. He is survived by his wife and two children.
Constable John ALCOCK (54)
Grampian Police
PC Alcock was seriously injured and left in a coma after an RTC in 2003 whilst on Royal Protection duties.
He never recovered from his injuries.
He was survived by his fiancee and son.
Constable Douglas WIGGINS (55)
Police Scotland
PC Wiggins died after he collapsed whilst on duty attending an emergency call in Newhouse, Lanarkshire.
He was survived by his wife and adult daughter.
Constable Mark MURTAGH (44)
Police Scotland
PC Murtagh died when his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a bus as he made his way Galashiels Police Office to commence duty. He was survived by his wife and son.
Constable Tony COLLINS (43)
Police Scotland
PC Collins was serving as part of the Police Scotland Air Support Unit when his helicopter crash-landed on the roof of the Clutha Bar in Stockwell Street Glasgow. As a result of the crash the entire crew of the police helicopter and a number of patrons of the bar lost their lives. He was survived by his wife and three sons.

PC Nelis was serving as part of the Police Scotland Air Support Unit when her helicopter crash-landed on the roof of the Clutha Bar in Stockwell Street Glasgow. As a result of the crash the entire crew of the police helicopter and a number of patrons of the bar lost their lives. She was survived by her husband and two step children.
Captain David TRAILL (51)

Captain Traill was serving as part of the Police Scotland Air Support Unit when his helicopter crash-landed on the roof of the Clutha Bar in Stockwell Street Glasgow. As a result of the crash the entire crew of the police helicopter and a number of patrons of the bar lost their lives. He was survived by his fiancee.
Constable (Retired) Neil JEFFRYS (49)
Strathclyde Police
PC Jeffrys was critically injured on 16th August 2002 when his unmarked police vehicle was struck by a car which veered into his path on the A82 Loch Lomond Road and subsequently by two other vehicles. He remained in nursing care until his death. He was survived by his wife and three daughters.

PC Cully collapsed and died whilst attending a residential training course at the Scottish Police College. He was survived by his wife and two children.
Constable David MCPHERSON (51)
Lothian and Borders Police
PC McPherson died after he took ill and collapsed whilst driving home from duty at the force control centre. He was survived by his wife and twin daughters.
Superintendent Neil MCCOVER (55)
Strathclyde Police
Superintendent McCover died when he was struck by a vehicle whilst cycling during his lunch break at the force training centre Jackton. He was survived by his wife and daughter.
Detective Constable Diane Christine DONALD (40)
Strathclyde Police
DC Donald died whilst driving to Govan police office to take up duty when her vehicle left the M8 Motorway in icy conditions and struck a tree. She was survived by her father and brother.
Detective Constable Malcolm WHIGHAM (42)
Tayside Police
DC Whigham died whilst on secondment to the SCDEA when his unmarked police motorcycle was involved in a collision with another vehicle near Livingston in West Lothian. He was survived by his wife and two stepdaughters.
Constable Derek Andrew LEITCH (47)
Strathclyde Police
PC Leitch died after sustaining head injuries as a result of a fall in police barracks whilst attending a multi-national public order training excerise in France. He was survived by his wife and two daughters.
Constable Kirsty ALLAN (24)

PC Allan died after her car left the road and overturned in icy conditions whilst travelling to take up duty at Oakley. She was survived by her husband and son.
Constable Kevin LOWE (46)
Strathclyde Police
PC Lowe died when his unmarked police vehicle was involved in a collision on the A77 near Symington whilst attending a report of another RTC. He was survived by his fiancee and his two sons.
Constable Alan McMURRAY (39)

PC McMurray died after he was struck by a van whilst investigating the scene of an earlier RTC. He was survived by his wife and two daughters.
Constable Karen BALFOUR (37)
Lothian and Borders Police
PC Balfour died after her car was involved in a collision with another vehicle near Greenlaw whilst travelling to take up duty at Duns. She was survived by her husband.
Constable Barrie LAWSON (30)
Strathclyde Police
PC Lawson died when his car left the road and struck a tree whilst travelling home from duty. He was survived by his wife.
Assistant Chief Constable Derrick SCOUGAL (45)
Fife Constabulary
ACC Scougal collapsed whilst attending a national police conference in Ayr. He was survived by his wife and two sons.
Constable Joseph TAGGART (49)
Strathclyde Police
PC Taggart collapsed whilst on duty within Govan police office. He was survived by his wife and 4 children.
Temporary Sergeant Alasdair Tay FERRY (40)
Fife Constabulary
T/PS Ferry died when his motorcycle was in collision with two vehicles in Edinburgh city centre whilst seconded to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal service where he was setting up a diversity training program. He was survived by his wife and four children.

PC Clarke died when his unmarked police vehicle was struck by a car which veered into his path on the A82 Loch Lomond Road and subsequently by two other vehicles. He was survived by his wife and daughter.
